George Bloomfield is the third son of renowned Los Angeles architect, F. Clark Bloomfield.  George honed his natural artistic talents with formal training in design and illustration at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

As Creative Director and lead designer of The Bloomfield Group, Inc., George offers a full range of design and production services for print and digital media.  He consults with successful business owners and corporate marketing teams to enhance their company’s image, messaging and marketing ROI – and all creative work is performed in-house.

George moved from LA to Orange County in 1986 to become VP / Creative Director of Homes For Sale Magazine where he converted the production dept. from paste-up to a fully digital operation.  In the transition, he increased the ad/page count of the award winning monthly publication by more than double to 428 pages while reducing staff by almost 50%.  Some years later, as Director of Marketing for Spanish Hills Golf & Country Club, George helped to lead a highly successful marketing campaign for club memberships and private estate home site sales.

BLOOMFIELD GROUP

George started The Bloomfield Group in 1997 and incorporated in 2000.  Today, George works with businesses large and small – startup to established organizations, most often with business leaders in aggressive growth mode or in a significant phase of transition.

Complimenting his proven design and writing skills, and with extensive experience as a detailed project manager and seasoned corporate executive, Bloomfield consults to visionary business owners as a marketing and branding strategist.

Before graduating from Art Center College of Design in 1981 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, George was invited to teach scholarship-level classes at ACCD.  He continued teaching exprimental drawing then color theory at the Pasadena campus for three years.

As a senior George also received accolades from the Mayor of Los Angeles, winning a city-wide art competition by depicting on canvas the rich architectural history of L.A. for its celebrated Bicentennial.

As a commercial illustrator, George has produced original artwork for Honda Motorcycles, Mazda Chemical, Alpine Audio, Nikko Toys, Fred Segals Stores, WILD Flavors, HPI Architects, Bergman Companies and many others.  He has created countless cover and feature editorial illustrations for Westways Magazine, InfoText, Digitrends and Fancy Publications.

In his free time, limited as that may be, George enjoys boating — power and sail, travel to exotic and tropical destinations, the occasional “nerd tour”, skiing, mountain biking, snorkeling, and, above all, experiencing and sharing it all with the love of his life, Kathie.
